Tholi Ekaadashi

Toli Ekadasi is regarded as a very sacred day for the Farmers. This festival replicates Eruvaku Festival that is celebrated by the Andhra Pradesh Farmers. This festival is marked with the Puja of all the agricultural implements. As this is the sacred festival for the farmer’s people who want to get in to farming are imposed on this day. The farmers fast on this sacred day to pay their homage and break the fast at the dawn commencing with a Puja and eats fruits after the fast.

SANSKRIT LEARNING

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Chinmaya International Foundation is offering an online Sanskrit course for beginners.  Admission for the Seventh Batch is opened. The application form has to be submitted on or before 15th June 2012.  This is an online course and is primarily meant to help those who are interested in learning the basics of Sanskrit. The course is not free – the course fee for Indian citizens is Rupees 1500/- and for foreign citizens it is $150.
