భీమ రథి మనిషి జీవితములో 77 వ ఏట, ఏడవ నెల, ఏడవ రాత్రిని భీమ రథి అంటారు. ఇది చాలా అపాయకరమయినదని ఒక విశ్వాసం ఉంది. యముడు చూసి వెళతాదని, కనుక అపాయకరమని అంటారు. ఈ అపాయం తొలగడానికి వైదిక కర్మకాండ కూడా కొంతమంది చేయించుకుంటారు

పితృదేవతలకి ఆబ్దికం పెట్టడమనేది ప్రాచీనకాలం నుంచీ వస్తోంది. యజమాని తన పితృదేవతలకి ఇష్టమైన పదార్ధాలను ముఖ్యంగా నెయ్యి, పెసరపప్పు, నూనె,కూరగాయలు, ( భూమి పైన కాకుండా భూమి లోపల  పండిన కూరగాయలు) అంటే దుంపలు మొదలగునవి  మరియు మంచి బియ్యము  వారికి స్వయం పాకంగా  భోజనం నిమిత్తం, దోవతి, ఉత్తరీయము, మరియు దక్షిణ సమర్పించి నమస్కరిస్తాడు. బ్రాహ్మణులు సంతృప్తి చెందితే , పితృదేవతలు సంతృప్తి చెందినట్టుగా భావిస్తాడు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ఆబ్దిక సమయంలో కొన్ని నియమాలను తప్పని సరిగా పాటించాలని శాస్త్రం చెబుతోంది. ఆబ్దిక సమయంలో యజమాని ఉత్తరీయం ధరించకూడదు. అలాగే ఆయన ఇల్లాలు కూడా ఏక వస్త్రాన్ని మాత్రమే ధరించవలసి వుంటుంది. ఆ రోజున నామమాత్రంగానే దైవారాధన చేయాలి. పూజ కుంకుమ .. గంధం వంటివి ధరించకూడదు. వంట చేస్తున్నప్పుడు గానీ , వడ్డిస్తున్నప్పుడు గాని వంట పాత్రల చప్పుడు కానీయకూడదు. . బ్రాహ్మణులు  వెళ్ళేంత వరకూ ఎవరికీ బిక్ష వేయకూడదు. బిక్షకులు ఈ విషయాన్ని గ్రహించాలనే , ఆ ఇంటి ముందు ముగ్గుపెట్టకపోవడం జరుగుతుంది. వెళుతోన్న బ్రాహ్మణులను నవ్వుతూ సాగనంపకూడదు. ఏ కారణంగా గాని వారిని వెనక్కి పిలవకూడదు. ఈ విధమైన నియమాలను పాట

రుషి పంచమి (ఆగష్టు 26, 2017, శనివారం) వ్రతాలన్నింటిలోనూ అత్యుత్తమైనది ఏదో చెప్పమని ధర్మరాజు కోరినప్పుడు, అందుకు సమాధానంగా శ్రీ కృష్ణుడు చెప్పినదే 'రుషి పంచమి' వ్రతం. స్త్రీ దోషాలకు పరిహారంగా జరుపుకునే ఈ వ్రతాన్ని 'భాద్రపద మాసం'లో 'శుక్ల పక్ష పంచమి' రోజున ఆచరించాలి. ఈ రోజున నదీ తీరానికి వెళ్లి దంతావధానం ... పరిమళ ద్రవ్యాలతో మంత్ర పూర్వకంగా స్నానం చేయాలి. ఆ తరువాత ఆ నదీ జలాన్ని తీర్థంగా తీసుకుని, అక్కడ హోమం చేయాలి. ఇంటికి చేరుకున్న తరువాత వ్రతానికి సంబంధించిన వేదికను పూజా సామాగ్రిని సిద్ధం చేసుకోవాలి. మట్టితో గాని రాగితో గాని కలశం పెట్టుకుని అందులో నీటిని పంచ రత్నాలను ఉంచాలి. అష్టదళ పద్మం వేశాక సంకల్పం చెప్పుకోవాలి. గణపతిని పూజించి గంగా యమున కృష్ణ తుంగభద్ర తదితర నదుల నామాలను మహర్షుల నామాలను స్మరించుకోవాలి. సప్తరుషులను అరుంధతిని పూజించాలి. ఆ తరువాత కథ చెప్పుకుని వాయనదానాలు ఇవ్వాలి. ఇలా 7 సంవత్సరాల పాటు క్రమం తప్పక ఈ వ్రతాన్ని చేసుకుని ఆ తరువాత ఉద్యాపన చెప్పుకోవాలి. ఇక ఈ వ్రతం జరుపుకోవడానికి కారణంగా చెప్పబడుతోన్న కథ గురించి తెలుసుకుందాం. పూర్వం విదర్భ దేశంలో సుమ

Rishi Panchami is not a festival but a fasting day observed by women to pay obeisance to the Sapta Rishis which means seven sages and to get purified from  Rajaswala Dosha . Hinduism gives highest priority to purity and there are strict guidelines to maintain purity of the body and the soul. In Hinduism women are believed to be contaminated during their menstrual cycle. During menstrual cycle women are not allowed to enter in the kitchen for cooking, to participate in any religious activities and to touch any family members. Avoiding these guidelines creates Rajaswala Dosha. Rishi Panchami fasting is advised to get rid of Rajaswala Dosha. Rishi Panchami is more famous in Nepali Hindus. In some regions three days Hartalika Teej fasting ends on Rishi Panchami. Rishi Panchami is also known as  Rushi Panchami .on 26-8-2017 Saturday.

Lord Ganapathi puja items follows: Turmeric powder 200 grams, kumkum 100 grams, pure Gandham powder 1 small box, Rice 5 kg., Copper pot for kalasham and water kalasham 2 nos.,Betel leaves 100, betel nuts 35, kajoor 35, turmeric nuts 15, cow milk, cow urine, cow milk curd,  pure honey,  jaggery kg.,five veries of fruits daily atleast two nos.,banana one dazan, Dhothi, kanduva, blouse peace 2 nos.,white cloth 1 metre for kalasham, thread ball, flowers kg., flowers garlands big size for lord, janjeer 1 set,  21 verities of leaves for puja, grass,  lamp oil, ghee, wicks big size, match stick box,  Big size Diyas 2 nos., agarbathi, kapoor, nyvedyam every day  1 and ¼ kg., minimum,  sambraani dhoop sticks.  Cow urine, dung little, one rupee coins 25. Mango leaves, big size banana leaves for decoration of mantap. Coconuts 5 nos.,raacha gummadi kaaya 1, neems 5 nos.,harathi plate, aachamanam paatra. 

The Ganesh Staphna (installation of the Idol) on Ganesh Chaturthi day, i.e. on 25th August 2017 can be done at Labh time between 07:59 to 09:33 or Amrit Time i.e. between 09:33 to 11:07. Ganesh Pooja is preferred during Madhyanhana on Ganesh Chaturthi as it is believed that Lord Ganesh was born during Madhyahana Kaal which is between 12:40 and 14:14. The Muhurut time specified above is the best Muhurut to perform the Ganesh Puja and to perform any work.

SHANI  THRAYODASHI on 5-8-2017 Saturday.  There is a popular belief that worshiping Hindu God Hanuman will help in removing the hardships caused by Shani Bhagavan or Saturn. People worship Hanuman on Saturdays to remove the malefic influence of Sani in their horoscope. As per Hindu Astrology, bad positioning of Shani results in a difficult period in life.
