- An ideal location for an entrance door opening is north to northeast direction.
- According to Vastu Shastra, an auspicious house should allow a sufficient amount of natural Sun light to come inside and sun rays into the sump and water tank.

- It is highly auspicious to have the kitchen in the South-east ( Agni Disha) corner of the house.
