How do we know a foreign yog in Kundali?

 

A lot of people especially students and working professionals have a desire to travel or get settled abroad and explore life and possibilities beyond their homeland. Whether you have these possibilities or not can be seen in your birth chart. In Vedic astrology, if you have to see whether a person is going to visit or settle in a foreign land you should check the condition of the 1st, 2nd, 7th, 9th, and 12th house in your birth chart.

1)If your ascendant lord is placed further away from the ascendant/ first house then it can indicate possibilities of foreign travel/settlement.

If the first house(ascendant) lord is in the 9th house, it can indicate a long but temporary foreign settlement.

If the ascendant lord is in the 11th or 12th house then this is an indication that the person can settle in foreign land permanently.

If there is an exchange of the lords or aspects in the 1st and the 12th house then this too can indicate abroad settlement.

2)The 2nd and the 12th house are of great importance when looking for the indication of foreign settlement.

The 2nd house represents your family and the environment you grew up in so if the second lord is placed away from the 2nd house, let's say in the 9th or 12th house this can indicate foreign settlement. Along with this, if the 2nd house lord is debilitated/ weak, then this creates separation from the family, which creates a stronger yoga for foreign travel/settlement.

3)The 4th house represents home, home life, and homeland so if malefic planets especially Rahu and Saturn are in the 4th house, the person might not be able to stay with their family, in their home or homeland.

If the 4th house lord is in the 6th, 9th, or 12th house then this can indicate foreign settlement or travel abroad.

If the lord of the 7th house is placed in the 9th house, 12th house, it can indicate foreign travel after marriage.

4) The 9th house is related to fate, luck, and destiny so If the lord of the 9th house is placed in the 12th house, it can indicate that foreign travel/settlement could be very auspicious for the person. 

A lot of times people get confused that the 9th house indicates a permanent foreign settlement rather it indicates auspicious long-distance travel or temporary settlement (because the 9th house is also related to pilgrimage).

5)If malefic planets especially Rahu and Saturn are placed in the 2nd house and 4th then this can indicate distance/liberation from home and homeland, so here foreign settlement in countries that aren't too far away is a possibility.

If Rahu, Saturn, the ascendant lord or the second house lord is placed in the 12th house then this can indicate a foreign settlement in a country that is far away( maybe in a different hemisphere).

6)Ashtaka Varga is also considered for the possibilities of foreign settlement but I will not discuss it here because I want to keep things simple and less complicated over here.

There are so many other possible combinations and placements in astrology that can indicate foreign travel or settlement based on one's birth chart but as I mentioned earlier I have tried to keep things as simple and easy to understand as possible. You can see the above-mentioned indications in your birth chart for the possibilities but a detailed analysis of the individual's birth chart is required in order to be more specific and accurate.
