Parshuram Jayanti is the day when Hindu God Parasurama appeared on earth. He is the sixth incarnation of Srihari Vishnu. Parashu means axe and the name means – the axe wielding Rama. The sole aim of the Parasurama Avatar was to annihilate those Kshatriyas (the warrior class) that had strayed from the path of Dharma and oppressed people and destroyed Mother Nature. He restored Dharma on earth.

Om Brahmashtraya Vidmahe Khatriantaya Deemahi Tanno Prashuram Prachodayatॐ ब्रह्मक्षत्राय विद्महे क्षत्रियान्ताय धीमहि तन्नो परशुराम: प्रचोदयात्॥
Chant the mantra 108 times facing east or north east.
